Founded by Alexis, ShanSheri combines a lifelong passion for the arts with a commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship. After a career as a professional dancer and choreographer, followed by earning a Master's degree in Criminal Justice and working as a Private Investigator and SIU Manager, Alexis stepped away to raise her two children.
Frustrated by the waste and disposable nature of fast fashion, she returned to her creative roots through sewing. What began as a passion soon became ShanSheri Sewing Co.—a place where every piece is thoughtfully handcrafted with quality, longevity, and intention.

It began with my great-grandfather, who christened his cherished boat by blending the names of my cousin Shannon and my mother Sheri. That boat was a vessel for connection, adventure, and the quiet joy of being together—values that sit at the core of everything I sew today.
By carrying this name forward, I weave my grandmother's legacy as a master seamstress into our modern lives.
